New York City’s first medical marijuana dispensary is opening today in Hunts Point in the South Bronx . It is an operation called Phama Cannis. “PharmaCannis is a medical cannabis provider under the New York Compassionate Care Act.”
The Bronx to many, is still considered dangerous and is kind of the frontier for gentrification. There is a huge dindu presence there and no doubt someone soon will try and rob the shop. Blacks and a lot of Whites and everyone else love their Pot and Medical Marijuana is good stuff.
The normalization of marijuana use has been coming along in tandem, it seems, with the normalization of homosexuality. Like homosexuality, marijuana legalities are being handled on a state to state basis. It is gaining footholds out west.
Medical marijuana was legal and somewhat easy to obtain in California at least ten years ago. I myself knew a pothead who got it for an ulcer, an ulcer I’m not even sure he had.
According to the Pharma Cannis site, the following are the conditions you can get medical marijuana for:
A serious condition is defined as: “having one of the following severe debilitating or life- threatening conditions:
- Positive status for human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immune deficiency syndrome
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
- Parkinson’s disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with objective neurological indication or intractable spasticity
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Huntington’s disease
Or as added by the commissioner; and any of the following conditions where it is clinically associated with, or a complication of, a condition under this paragraph or its treatment: cachexia or wasting syndrome
- severe or chronic pain
- severe nausea; seizures
- severe or persistent muscle spasms
- or such conditions as are added by the commissioner.”
Any other condition can be added by the Commissioner at any time.
As you can see above, the Health Commissioner has latitude to add new conditions that will qualify for Marijuana treatment.
Since I was in High School, people have always been saying there are no downsides to marijuana use. They find all sorts of statistics to support their claims that it’s a natural, pure and great plant. They misquote George Washington who wanted hemp grown as a cash crop for it’s fiber as a proof the Mary Jane has always been cool.
It may be okay for occasional use but the old wisdom, everything in moderation holds true.
Marijuana can trigger schizophrenic tendencies, dull focus and concentration and even cause “bitch tits” due to the fact that all the budding plants are female. I am sure there are other downsides too.
People who are intelligent yet who are always pushing us down slippery slopes acknowledge the downsides to things like marijuana use and homosexual marriage but an idealism, at best, justifies their advocacy to themselves.
What these people don’t realize is that their “idealism” just leads more people to new avenues of failure.
Marijuana is degenerate and a weight on success for most people.
